The North Carolina Dance Institute is located in the heart of Raleigh on Duraleigh Road. The institute is a non recital and non competition based school for both children and adults. Their goal is to foster a love for dance and to educate. The school offers classes that include classical ballet, pointe, jazz, modern, lyrical, Broadway and rhythm tap, children's preDance and PlayDance, and hip-hop. Some former students have been accepted into the North Carolina School of the Arts School of Dance High School and College Programs and the NCSA Summer Sessions in Dance. NCDI students have also been accepted into Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre Summer programs, Broadway Theatre Project in Florida, The Rock School and ABT/NYC Summer Programs.
