My partner was accused of a whole bunch of things by his ex-wife in an effort to get custody of their children. One of the things she accused him of was having addiction issues but wouldn't specify what he was addicted to. The court ordered him to have an evaluation, of which the ex and I served as collateral contacts. THS contacted both of us as collaterals and refused to contact ANYONE ELSE including long term friends who knew both of them for their entire relationship, co-workers and bosses. The assessor talked to me for approximately 5 minutes, and I have no idea how long she talked to the ex (who I have first hand knowledge of being verbally abusive and lying to the courts to get what she wants). The assessor orignally told my partner that she would recommend 12 ""education classes"" just to be safe. Then, the ex-wife's attorney sent a threatening letter to the organization, and the assessor changed her recommendation to 2 years of INTENSIVE outpatient treatment (and by this I mean 2 AA or NA meetings a week, the first first 3 months also consisting of many hours of treatment a week - on top of a 1/2 time custody of children and full time job). This recommendation was doled out without her ever being willing to state which criteria my partner met in the evaluation to warrant such a recommendation, or without ever being willing to state what substance he might have a problem with. All of his UA's and hair follicle tests came out clean. Although the guy can have a few beers in the evening, that's it. THS in this particular case, was stubborn, scared, and not interested in providing health care. They were interested in avoiding having a stand off with an evil attorney and woman and putting more money in their pockets. Stay away. Pros: none that I'm aware of Cons: money grubbers, inexperienced assessors, dumb
