This is one of the kids' favorite malls. There is a bouncy house and carousel down near the Sears, and we make frequent trips to the bouncy house and carousel. While there, we stop by Cinnabon for some mouthwatering cinnamon rolls.
There is a nice selection of stores at this mall, but fewer high end stores- just nice regular stores, and a ton of anchors.

Games Galore carries a wide selection of games that are rare and 'unknown'. I come here for unusual gift ideas. They do not carry regular games that you would look for at Target or Walmart. You can find some very creative and unique products here. The prices are rather high, however if you are not sure what a child already owns, you can typically find an unusual gift at Games Galore!

They truely are more interested in helping you find the best bike for you than trying to get you to buy the most expensive. All their sales personel are very knowledgable. All their bikes come with a life warrenty. They are always willing to help. They have a very nice and friendly staff that you will more than likely see riding around town.

We try to stay away from the huge mega stores and try and frequent the smaller guys. We stopped in Play it Again for a softball glove for a birthday present. Not only do they have a wide variety of sporting equipment, both new and used, but the staff is ultra friendly and helpful. My husband continued to eye this particular glove so the sales associate come over and talked with him about it, then offered to knock off $10! Sold! We got a good quality glove at a great price and will definitely visit again!

Dicks is great for all sports, but lacks soccer needs. If you are in Crossroads you are better to look at Omega or Premier. Dicks' selection on hunting gear and apparel is wonderful and they will order if there is no stock

We just went here recently for a birthday party, and the kids had a blast. They were able to play 18 holes that weren't too difficult for the little ones, as long as you don't follow their out of bounds rules that would inflate the scores. But the kids all had a good time and had room at tables to share cake and open presents before hitting the video games.

We had the benefit of visiting the Hemlock Bluffs Wildlife Preserve the day after a flooding rain passed through. Even with all the water, the trails weren't muddy - they're covered with wood chips, solid stairs and boardwalks. Sections of the trails that had boardwalking were usually elevated above the ground 2 feet or so, allowing the children to get a better view of the area.
We took the path that loops down toward the creek, there are many steps down and then a loop that meanders through the woods. There are also several overlook areas for catching a glimpse of the creek below.
The trek took us about 30 minutes, but that's walking with small children who like to stop and look at specks of dirt. :)
One bit of advice - wear bug repellent.

Games Galore carries a tremendous selection of games and game pieces (dice, etc). Whether you're looking for a game from your past that someone just-so-happens to still have in pristine condition or last year's award-winners, Games Galore probably has it. There are a few of my favorite games they don't carry consistently (Dutch Blitz, for instance), so I often do wind up ordering games online despite how closeby Games Galore is. It's great for browsing or discovering new games when you don't know just what you're after.

I've been to REI in Cary a couple times, and while the staff seems to know everything possible about their products and equipment, I went in with questions and came out feeling looked down upon like I wasn't "outdoorsy" enough or something...whatever it was, I won't shop here again. Great Outdoor Provision in Cameron Village has the superior service to win my business.
