when i complained to the manager he was apologetic but ineffective. during the entire moving the same group of kids +5 or 6 others continuously ran in and out of the theater yelling, kicking seats and talking loud. the manager did nothing. after the moving, i complained again and he apologized and said parents drop their kids off and stick him with them. i told him it says something when its a friday night and there are only a hand full of people in the theater...no lines.

Burt Music has been around the area for a while. Their small store in Cary is geared mainly toward guitar and piano players, although they have a section for lesson books & music for school band players. They have a lot of pop-type guitar & piano fake books and the like. They also offer school instrument rentals in case your little one needs one. The prices are higher here than at other similar stores, but if you want to support a local little guy, then check them out.

More
The Koka Booth Amphitheatre at Regency Park, known formerly as Regency Amphitheatre, attracts some big name folks like Harry Connick Jr, Clay Aiken, Tori Amos, the Army Band, the NC Symphony, various festivals, and even hosts movie nights in the summer. This theatre is outdoor with a large shell stage, and is operated through the town of Cary. The only seats are way in the back at tables near the concession area. Sometimes for big name concerts, they’ll rope off a section in the front and set up folding chairs. But mostly, there is a large sloping grassy area where people just find the best place to go. For most shows you can bring in your own blankets, chairs, picnic stuff, and even a mini grill to do some on-site tailgating. Every fourth of July, they put on a big show and shoot off fireworks over the nearby lake. Parking can be a hassle for big shows. It is often much easier to find a parking spot than leaving at the end of the night. There’s few ways in and out and things get clogged pretty quick when everyone is leaving at the same time. Bring your blanket, cooler, and some patience and you’ll have a great time. Check out their website for the latest schedule: http://www.amphitheatreatregencypark.com/.

The lines are normally long, this is due to that they have not enough employees. The concession stands are stocked but they do not have enough employees to prevent a line. Besides that the screen is big, its THX and they have a arcade.

More
Ice House is an older skating rink for the local kids to hang out. If you're a serious skater, stay away from their public sessions like the plague. They don't even have rink guards to patrol the sessions. Therefore, you'll see your share of wild, out of control teens and little boys aspiring to be hockey stars cutting up the ice (actually, some of those maniacal public skaters are adults!). This can be dangerous for some smaller kids. Rink looks old and bathrooms are old and cramped. Ok for kids' birthday parties if that's what you are looking for.

Tucked away in a strip style shopping mall, this Amazing Glaze location seems larger than the one in downtown Raleigh. It also has a small back room perfect for birthday parties or other small events. Pick your perfect piece of ceramics and paint away. The friendly staff will do the rest, like fire your piece and have it ready for pick up in about a week. From small jewlery boxes to tiles to plates or mugs, you can find just about anything to paint here.
