I used to frequent LaTherapie when I was working full time, but times are tighter for me now and I can only go once in a while. I cherish my visits there- it is like an escape from reality! I was very excited to find out that my former massage therapist, Susie, was working again after taking maternity leave. Everyone else I tried there was great, too, but a massage from Susie is like an out of body experience! She relaxes you before going in deep, so it never hurts but still works out the knots- she's perfect!
I also tried the new salon and was very happy with my cut and highlights. It's a beautiful environment and feels spa-like and doesn't seem to have the drama that so many salons have.
Thank you, La Therapie for always providing the best service!
Pros: great massage, great atmosphere

I've been here for a massage and also go for waxing here. I love it! The staff is friendly, the spa is beautiful, and the atmosphere is very relaxing with aromatherapy, soothing music, and great lighting. It is clean, they have nice changing facilities, and they offer so many choices of treatments. I will definitely continue to go here. The prices are in line with most other spas. I highly recommend!

I sent my mom here for a massage for her birthday last year and she loved it. The whole experience was very professional and relaxing. She loved the soothing music played in the salon. Everyone was very attentive to her needs while she was there. This is also a hair and nail salon.

Because of terrible traffic, I was late for my appointment. However, Paul (the manager) was very understanding and willing to work late for me. Fortunately, Ru (Ruth) had an opening so I had her cut my hair. She was very patient with my questions and taught me how to style my hair. The look was fabulous and after I washed it twice, I still love my cut. Very friendly staff. Great cuts!!!
Pros: service
Cons: price

I had my first massage ever, with Ester. I was a bit nervous because I didn't know what to expect. She was SO friendly, she put me at ease right away. She answered all my questions, without making me feel silly for asking them. She explained to me what she was doing, and how the my muscles would respond.
I have had pain in my neck and shoulders for years, and a constant headache going on 3 weeks. After this one appointment, my headache is gone and I can turn my head much farther than I could when I came in! My neck and shoulders feel incredible. I will be back and I will tell everyone I know to visit!
Thank you so much!
Pros: Easy to find, Plenty of Parking, Friendly Staff
Cons: not much room to sit and relax while waiting

I've gone in a handful of times over the past 18 months for various work: cut, color, style, and your basic touch up by various staff of the Lounge between both locations. The staff has remained steady with a few moving on to other ventures and a couple new smiling faces. The locations have been full of personality; the first place was cute and charming, and a little creepy in a Scooby Doo haunted house way and the new place has a cool retro / funky strip mall thing going on... and being bigger, it definitely has more then enough room for some new talent should they need to expand the staff.
From the time you call or walk in to the time you leave... it is warm and personable, yet highly professional. Tasty beverages are always on hand and are complimentary. The pricing is on par with salon standards... you definitely won't feel robbed (I have yet to get extensions, so I can't speak personally about that - but I feel for you.) This is not an uptight salon by any stretch of the imagination; it is a fun, energetic and a personal favorite place to go in downtown Cary. Conversation is candid and almost any topic can come up and while it certainly isn't church, I have never seen or heard anything that has made me uncomfortable. I have certainly had my "off" days... and while I have never seen it happen, if one of the staff were to have an "off" day; you would not know it because I have never seen a bad haircut leave... if you have any issue with the hair, I am certain they would fix it up with no problem.
Sites like City Search are great for getting out the word on local businesses around town: good and bad. A downside is that it is very easy to defame someone's name with no reprecutions. It is very unfortunate that the few negative reviews below seem to be poorly masked, personal jabs more then anything objective. People are definitely entitled to their opinion, but you should be a good person and be responsible with the power of anonymity the web provides.
Pros: staff, vibe, layout, always sunny and warm inside!
Cons: parking entry, kamakaze squirrels, front shrubbery can hide it

Being new to the area I read in a January/February 2009 Cary Magazine that Skin Sense won the Best Place to Pamper. Skin Sense was well worth the journey, your staff at 1269 Kildaire Farm Road, Cary, NC was warm and welcoming, and the mood made my first time visit to a Spa admirable. The hospitality from the time you walk in was wonderful and made me feel welcome. Stacey passion translated into her excellent back waxing services. I was more than impressed. I received great services. I will definitely be making a return trip for my first massage at your establishment. Thanks, for such an awesome experience. I very much enjoyed my first visit to Skin Sense Spa. The service I received was wonderful; I will recommend your establishment to my friends. It was a pure pleasure finding a Day Spa like you; it sure did bring balance to my life, Billy.
Pros: Best Spa in Cary, NC
