Review content:
Took my elderly dad to this shop for wide shoes. I (with similarly wide feet) had had reasonable luck at Shane's and was anxious to get him a pair of new shoes. They recognized his old brand immediately and were able to provide a number of potential candidates for comfort. We narrowed the choices down and left with what we thought would be a good replacement pair.\r Once the shoes were in regular service however, we realized that they were not as wide as his previous style. They were a constant source of discomfort and were regularly being removed in favor of the old shoes.\r I went out of my way on more than one occasion to see about remediation for the width at the store. They took the shoes to the back room each time to do a '20 minute stretching' that would make everything better...I was told that the compression stockings my dad was prescribed were the source of the problem and any number of other blah, blah, blah things that did nothing to make the shoes fit better. Three trips did not come to any remediation of the expensive ill-fitting shoes. I've made my last trip to Shane's Foot Comfort Center.\r I recommend Shoes N Feet in Fremont. They go the extra mile with the fitting. The only reason I had to go back was to get a second pair of new shoes for my dad. And socks too. Pros: Lots of great shoes Cons: If they don't fit, they don't fit. Period.
