It is located in a house on Elmwood and they have a huge collection of music CDs, and LP records. The staff is very knowledgeable and they know a lot about music and stuff. They are sure to find what you are looking for and they also do special ordering. The prices are decent, so be sure to check this place out next time you are in the area.

Many of the exhibits that come through the gallery have a more modern look to them. The gallery has a nice layout that allows for a leisurely stroll through its rooms. An added bonus for the gallery is that it is free on Friday’s and typically there is something else going on, either a concert, a poetry reading or lecture. If you are into art this is a relaxing place to spend an afternoon.

All local professional actors - some really good talent. It's best to see productions of famous shows...the locally written shows can be a little less engaging. It's fun to watch the local singers and dancers - it's not Broadway, but it is a fun time and nice to see local performers.

Each Thursday over the summer the city puts on a musical concert in the heart of downtown at the square. IT is definately the place to be over the summer. Thousands of people flock down there - and you get all sorts of different people to the various shows.
They sell beer and pop and water and food as well - all ticket based. The bands are all varied and supported by local radio stations.
The main problem has been the great success and demand for these free concerts in recent years. The crowds seem to continue to grow - and now if you want to be able to see the stage - you'll have to show up before 6 if you want to get a good spot - but it's well worth it!
Great place to meet up with old friends and then head downtown afterwards to Chippewa and visit the bars afterwards.
The thing to do on a Thursday evening in Buffalo - period.

Considering the fact that I grew up in NYC, the price is a little expensive. Most gaming places I have been to offer web browsing, but this place is primarily for gaming. The speed of computers and choices of games are okay.
This is more of a place for teenagers or college students who are bored of playing in their dorms.

New World Record was once an alternative record store but over the past few years it has starting selling some mainstream artists as well. The store also offers a wide collection of pop-culture items as well. These include Simpson items, Beatles lunch boxes, various things you would not be able to buy somewhere else. The Jazz and Classical sections are decent as well.

I think by far this is one of the cheapest place I've ever bowled. It cost only 1 dollar per game! Very cheap! The shoe rentals cost about 2 dollars which is pretty standard. The bowling ally is nothing special and it may appear to be a little old inside. At least the score machines are computerized. They do offer cosmic bowling. However, there is not much food served inside. Many items are from vending machines. Good for those looking for a cheap place to bowl.

Located right across the UB south campus, near the student locality, these people do have various kinds of guitar. Although they cant match the collections which bigger guitar places have, you can visit them for small needs like strings, cleaning equipments, guitar stands etc. They have them at good rates and they also have good service. They also offer lessons, although I havent tried that

We went there with some more guys from work just to have a good time. Turned out just like any other bowling alley. Decent prices for the shoe rentals and for the actual bowling. They also serve the usual fare, we had pizza and pop. Nothing great about that, but then again we weren't there for the food.
All in all, nice for hanging out with friends or collleagues.
