Review content:
I went to Shallot's on last Sunday evening and I LOVED IT. The service was spectacular, the food was delicious and the price was right ($1 sushi nights are Sunday-Tuesday). To top it all off, they actually have a new Sunday brunch menu so I guarantee that I will be in there again, but earlier next time. I had the miso soup, a couple of pieces of salmon nigiri, a spicy tuna roll, a bakery roll, a volcano roll and I tried the tuna mushi. Everything was delicious. I sat at the bar since I was dining alone and saw them preparing several dishes; what a treat that was. They paid so much attention to detail that everything that they prepared looked like the pictures on the menu. The raw fish is only on a bed of ice briefly when served to keep the dish cold; other than that, it is in a refrigerated section of the bar area while sushi is being made. I'm glad I sat at the bar so that I could see everything and kind of ordered as I saw something that I liked. My main reason for going though was so that I could try some things out so that I could decide whether I would drag my boyfriend out with me so that we could take advantage of the All-You-Can-Eat sushi menu that they offer from Wednesday-Saturday. I didn't even get a chance to try things on the Thai menu because I was so excited about finding a sushi place that I enjoyed. Pros: $1 sushi menu, all-you-can-eat menu Cons: n/a
