Review content:
Wow! I went online to get the ph # and saw the previous review, it's rather harsh. My personal experience has been a positive one for both my daughters and myself. My youngest is EXTREMELY shy and began the ballet/tap class last year when she was 4. She doesn't do well with loud personalities or being put on the spot, but definitely knows that she shouldn't walk fast or run in her class shoes. She actually didn't participate the 1st 2 classes (encouraged lovingly by the teachers) and loves it now! The class is a sweet start for 3-4 yr old pink clad wanna be princesses/ballerinas. Not as strict as traditional ballet, but a great way for these kids to get active and enjoy themsleves. What else should you expect from them at this age? I'm not raising pageant starlets, just girls with good health, manners & morals. These girls learn to take turns, listen to verbal instructions, follow & remember simple dance moves and have creative song/dance. The audience of moms wave through the large window regardless if it's their own daughter peering out for adulation. My daughter sometimes asks to stay home from preschool or sunday school, but loves to go to this school. Bottom line ~ the girls in class are all smiles, participate and have fun, and that's what counts for us. Heather, Ms Katy & Mrs Genevieve are dears. My oldest loves the hip-hop class. She decided to discontinue for personal reasons. The only thing I wish was different is the age limit, but it seems there is no interest with kids her age. My daughter was the youngest and smallest and felt a tad uncomforatble dancing next to the older girls...it really does make a difference when you're learning & the girl next to you already has it. Ms Katy is a sweetheart & gave a private lesson & plenty of encouragement when there were no other girls her age to form a class (which caused her to move up into the older class). All that said, I've had great communication & experience and would reccommend HSSD. God Bless you all! Pros: Clean Facility, Large Sound Proof Waiting Area With Large Viewing Window, 2 locations, Easy Access/Parking Cons: no ""front desk"" help...staff is usually in class (understandable), cost of costumes for recital
