Firstly, let me start by saying that I count Mark Str?b on my short list of close friends. No, this is not a matter of full disclosure, but an important measure of his approach to being a Realtor. Prior to representing me as a buyer's agent, I knew Mark as an acquaintance, but got to know him much better over the few months that we were looking for homes. Mark takes an incredibly personalized approach to purchasing a home. The very first thing he did when we came to him to discuss buying a place was talk about our interests, the places we like to go, and the things we like to do. It was immediately clear that his first priority was to understand who my wife and I were as people so that he could help us walk the delicate tight-rope that is balancing price, location, size, and home quality. In the past I've worked with realtors who have done one of two things--either they have pressured me into making a hasty decision that I knew wasn't right, or they were completely off base about what I needed in a home. Mark took the time to sit down with us, get to know us as people and really understand our needs and priorities. Furthermore, he spent countless hours finding potential homes and refining the search criteria as we gave him feedback about properties we viewed. Even when we discovered a home that we really liked and wanted to make an offer, Mark helped us really think clearly about the amount of work that was required and ultimately we decided that it wasn't the right place for us. A less scrupulous agent might have just seen a commission opportunity and ran with it. Mark went above and beyond the call of duty for us in our home search. His approach made him an enormously valuable consultant. Mark's understanding of the market from pricing down to the microcosm of individual streets within neighborhoods continuously amazed us. We felt incredibly well taken care of and would recommend this agency to anyone needing to buy or sell a home in Austin!
