We haven't moved very much, but we have graduated to different neighborhoods first in Fort Worth , then to mid-cities and now in north Fort Worth. It doesn't take long to see the difference between the neighborhoods without any organization compared to the neighborhoods with a mandatory homeowner's association. We have learned that it is better to live in a community where there is an association than living in one where the neighbors keep their cars on cinder blocks on the front yard. We have also learned that the enforcement of the rules vary from different management companies. So far we like CMA. It seems to be the best. Pros: maintains property values Cons: it is mandatory
