We have been a customer of Dr Elbel's for 20+ years. He has cared for over 10+ of our animals over those years. Dr.Elbel is kind & cares about the animal ;their quality of life- and not yours. Once you understand that, you understand him. He does not want the pet to go thru pain, unnecessary surgeries, just cause a human wants them to live a little longer. The facility is basic, You get what you pay for. This vet is good for basic care (shots) and basic problems (nuder, cuts) your pets may have. However, if your pet needs major surgery (reconstructed pelvis) ; has cancer and you want chemo treatments for it , then take your pet to a ""city"" vet. Craig is our ""country"" vet -deals w/ large animals too (which requires house calls) but he & the office are very 'basic'-no frills here. We love him just the way he is ! Terrific !!!!!! Pros: Inexpensive; Cares about the Pet's Quality of Life Cons: Basic technology ; not state of the art facility.
