Review content:
I have used several "high end" frame shops in the Bay area and these guys are absolutely the best! They do everything well from design advice, beautiful custom framing, huge selection of frames and then they also do on of a kind frames - no other framer can match. I work with a lot of high end clients and feel very comfortable sending FAS staff out to their impressive homes to install, and help decide on placement.
You do need to make an appointment - one reason that they provide such good service is that the two highly skilled staff do it all - and do not leave it to inexperienced people - thus - they are not always in the showroom at the Design Center in San Francisco - their shop in Sausalito in the ICB building is generally more routinely staffed... but it is always best to call...
As a busy designer with many clients - it is great to hand off the framing, mirrrors and art work care and know it will be well done!
Pros: The Best at all aspects of framing, design, installation, selection, customer service for high end market
Cons: recommend that you call to make an appointment versus just show up
