I was referred to Tazi Designs by a designer friend in Los Angeles. we needed several Moorish lighting fixtures for a boutique hotel project in Palm Springs. we were impressed by the variety and quality of the Moorish sconces and lanterns Tazi offered. the staff was knowledgeable and friendly. we appreciated the professionalism and we will certainly use Tazi Designs again for Mediterranean lighting projects.
Pros: Great selection of Mediterranean light fixtures
Cons: could not find many moroccan sconces under $100

This place makes me feel like i'm at home. The overall rustic-romantic-feminine feel really draws me in. I could seriously live in this place because they have running water, beds, furniture, tables, light fixtures, kitchen-ware, awesome clothing, lingerie, jewelry, beauty products...anything a girl ever wanted is there.
Pros: warm atmosphere, fun, relaxed

I bought a whole kid's room furniture just before Christmas and couldn't be happier. They offer a great selection and so far I am finding the quality to be excellent. The store manager was able to make suggestions and help with room arrangements, based on my square footage. One table was on back order and took a little longer than the rest but I didn't mind. I will be looking for sf sofas soon. I wouldn't hesitate to buy there again.

Bath and Beyond has everything you need to create your dream bathroom, I did! This place is hands down the largest bath show room in the city. They are open till 8pm on Weds. bathtubs, faucets, sink bowls, mirrors, Everything!! The sales staff was friendly and made me feel at ease instead of rushing off to the next person.

Lamps galore. I just love this store. There are lamps for any kind of decor, lighting fixtures for any room in your house. The prices are so reasonable. They always have sale priced or clearance items. Thre are Tiffany lamps. They even have a website and the prices are very good too.

Back when I used to live with a photographer, we used to drive out of the Mission, past all the gazillions of other frame shops, way out to Geary to Cheap Pete’s. Isn’t it strange that frame shops are such a thing? An entire industry of putting pictures in rectangles!
They say Pete’s is the cheapest, especially if you use the frame-it-yourself table in the back, which cuts labor costs out of the whole affair.

This store is full of not only what you would normally expect in a regular hardware store, but all kinds of little Japanese knick-knacks that are fun to browse through. They had some cute little charms that I couldn't resist plus some rolls of paper that were good for hobbies. Right in the heart of Japantown.

Pottery Barn has a lot of dishes, flatware and various appointments for the home. Everything is displayed very nicely. But everything is a little too expensive. When there are sales, it is a bit more worth it. I bought a big dish set before and I was completely satisfied with their product. The store clerks are also very nice and helpful.
