Art Van is a Michigan furniture chain that has many showrooms, the largest of which are located in Lansing and Grand Rapids, MI. I have mixed feelings about Art Van, because as their prices are more affordable than visiting say, a Lay-z-Boy or Ethan Allen furniture store, their service is rather annoying.
The moment you enter a store, your sales person bombards you. There are normally half a dozen sales people waiting by the front door for their next unsuspecting victim. If you want to simply browse the store, you will be watched and visited by your commission-hunting sales person several times to “check up on you.”
That’s annoying, but the prices are reasonable. Just be sure to purchase the warranty, as sometimes their furniture seems to spontaneously fall apart after a few weeks of wear and tear.

They are hit and miss.
While on the one hand they have a very wide selection and their prices are very competitive.
On the other hand the service is not always the best but i would not say worse than other places. The one thing that bugs me is that they do not have the best know-how that you would expect from a gardening center. So if your looking for general know-how on how to set up for your next project this probably isnt your place.

I had some work to do this summer and used Young Brothers and Daley for some bricks that I needed. One person who helped me did not figure the amount I needed correctly so I had to go back and get more. That was inconvenient. Their prices were pretty average. They had a good selection to choose from. They do have dellivery for a charge. I will use them again.

This is a great store to find a lot of different things. Hence the name, world market, they have gifts, furniture, home items, food items, wine, and beer from all around the world. Their wine selections is very extensive for a store. They also have great furniture. The furniture is of great quality, featuring dinning room tables made of solid, heavy wood, coffee tables, chairs, and bedroom furniture. They also feature lamps, pictures, posters, and curtains to go in any room. I love this store, and im almost certain anyone could find something here they like.

I like to shop at Bed Bath and Beyond because they have a very good selection of items. Their prices are pretty reasonable. You can usually get a coupon in Sundays paper. The store is very clean and very well organized. There is a good amount of parking space.

I went at one point to J & J to get a dresser and found an excellent used one at a very good price.
Then, when my washer died they helped me find a very nice used one. They give a 90 day guarantee, which is good, because the first one was not spinning as well as it should. They immediately brought a new one out and hooked it up. This is a good way to save money on appliances and furniture without having to scour garage sales. They are very friendly and helpful.

This is an excellent gas station...they dont have a very good selection on candy and snacks because their convenience store is rather small, but other than that it is great. Gas prices take usually a day longer or so than others to go up.

They were friendly, helpful, well-mannered. We also enjoyed working with K. C. each step of this project she too was helpful in every way, each time we had a concern or question she took time with us.

They have beautiful furniture and other decor at Ethan Allen. It is on the high end price wise though. The store seems a little crowded with all they have. However, the sales associates were friendly and helpful and never seemed pushy. One thing I hate is being followed around a store by a sales person and I wasn't at this store. I recommend Ethan Allen if you can afford it.
