“Mountaineers Photography Class is top Notch”

Another vote for the Mountaineers Photography class. Each weekend for the fairly long length of the course they have field trips and seminars setup. These allow not only a great variety of content, but also access to the expert photographers that are running the program. At the end, and at a few meetings throughout, they have critique sessions where you can get feedback on your photos. They have sessions with professional photographers, most of which are free, some of which require a slight additional fee. They're all worth it. It is not geared towards digital photography (or at least was not when I took it) but the solid basis it gives you is well worth the time. There was a session on digital photography workflow, and I wouldn't be surprised if this portion has grown since I took the class three years ago. It helps if you have a camera that allows manual use, and a tripod mount ability is a must (look for the bolt hole in the bottom) They do have a few loaner tripods, but they vary in quality and amount based on the trip, so you're legs above everyone if you can bring in one of your own.
