You feel as though you are reliving history itself when you visit Ford's Theater. I walked right up to the door behind the balcony box that was shot through to assassinate Abraham Lincoln. In the basement is a full museum devoted to the events that unfolded there, from the death mask of the President to the clothes he wore. This is a must see historical site on anyones trip to DC. The theater is also used for special events. It is free to the Public. One of the best historic sites to see.
