The cleanest, nicest and newest Asian market in Uptown. The aisles are very well-lit and stocked with all kinds of Chinese and Japanese goodies as well as some American groceries. Their prices are super reasonable for produce. The owner is always friendly and helpful. He sometimes offers freebies with your purchase and is good at recommending products.

You've got to love a place that serves up quality meat, has regular live music and allows cigar smoking in the bar. They have the best burgers (try it with bacon) and steaks here. I also really like their coconut shrimp appetizer, which is super tasty. The only downside is inevitably the price, but you get what you pay for. When my friend and I most recently ate here we had a slow waiter who deserted us when we neeeded refills and service. We also had to wait for a table for a bit because the place was so crowded.

I have more than a couple of gripes about the Webster Place theater. It's irritating that they charge you for parking, when ticket prices are already high. Plus, the parking is not directly connected to the theatre so you have to walk outside in the winter and wait in line for tickets outside. Then you have to get in a line with everyone who just came out of the showing to get your parking validated and then wait again to get out of the garage. I have found the ticket sellers to be pretty slow here on occasion. The theatre itself is kind of outdated for the area. It wasn't that clean and the seats were not too comfortable. They do have a neat interactive floor game in the lobby.

Daniella is the best at what she does. I heard about her through a friend. I would never go for waxing or skin care services without someone's recommendation. She really is detail-oriented, friendly and knowlegable. In addition to waxing, she does eye brow tint, some facials, sunless tanning application and electrolocist. She has lots of Guinuit products and is very knowlegable about each one. Visit her, but take public transportation because there is no cheap available parking near the Neiman Marcus building.

They have excellent breakfast items, homemade dinners and desserts as well. I am sure lunch is good, but I haven't really been there for it. I live for their pumpkin spice cake with vanilla ice cream!
The owners are always around and friendly. The only downside is that the food is so good sometimes you have to wait to get a table.

I highly recommend Ben's for great Thai food in Edgewater. This is exactly the kind of thing the community needed. The business is family owned and run and you will always find them working hard in the restaurant. They have delivery and carryout and a very clean, but small dining room. The prices are reasonable and everything is very tasty, especially the Bangkok chicken and the Pad Si Eiwe. The portions could be a little bigger, but that's my only complaint.
