Dr. Sheikh administered all of my travel vaccines before my trip to Thailand last May. Dr. Sheikh also counseled me on what to expect oversea and how to deal with dangerous situations. I had a wonderful and safe time and will surely return to Dr. Nasreen Sheikh upon my next international adventure.

More
Steiner Optometrists is quite reliable whether it be for eye exams for contacts or glasses. Depending on the time of day, they can be quite crowded and your appointment might start later than expected, but they are competent and reliable. Dr. Steiner is friendly and does a pretty good job with eye exams. Perhaps best of all, he does not rush you, even if he's behind schedule. The people over there do a good of job of listening to your questions and answering them, so if you're going for your first eye exam for contacts or glasses, they are a good choice.
PROS: Good service, friendly, reliable, ample parking
CONS: Located near 7 corners, the most heavily congested area

Both of my children have seen Dr. Myers for the past 4 years and I have never walked away from a visit feeling like my questions or concerns were still unanswered. She has seen my daughter since the age of 9months, and my son since birth. She has helped us through several long term health concerns, and has always been willing to send us to a specialist when the problem at hand was better suited for a specialist. I honestly cannot think of a negative thing to say about her, and I would recommend her to anyone.

I've been using the practice for about a year now and all my experiences have been pleasant. I've come in for a variety of reasons, some emergent and some routine. I've seen about 3 of the nurse practioners and have received top-notch care and information from each. It's convenient and they do a good job trying to squeeze you in when you think you need to be seen right away.

My children have been patients of Northern Virginia Prdiatric Associates in Falls Church, VIrginia for about a year and a half now and I am very pleased. There are about 10 doctors in the practice and everyone I have seen has a great bedside manner and was very professional. They have a nurse available for questions after hours and you can always get an appointment. My kids love to go to the doctor's office now.

More 2 years ago
When I, as a patient, ask how the doctor knows that the ligaments in my ankle are just pulled and not partially torn, the answer coming from my MD's mouth should not just be Because I told you they weren't. This was just one of the many curt comments out of Dr. Davis's mouth during my visit. I am not an idiot, infact I am also a healthcare provider, so to talk down to me throughout this visit was not only an insult to me as a patient - it also made me ashamed to know that there were people in the field who thought it was okay to act like that. When the PA came in to give me crutches I asked him if the other MD in the practice was any nicer. He paused, a long pause that was enough of an answer for me, and then said that the other MD was nice too.
I would add my complaints about the 70 minute wait before anyone saw me, or the fact that they made me pay upfront for the pair of crutches and lace-up ankle brace ($135.00 - seriously) but the poor service and lack of any bedside manor should be enough of a reason to avoid this practice. If you're not good at the one thing you do every day (patient care) how am I supposed to trust that you're good at the other things you say you're good at. Needless to say I am making my follow-up appointment and PT sessions with a different Orthopedic Surgeon.
I hope this review saves someone from making the same mistake I did. Avoid this practice if you're looking for good patient care.
