It's been 3 long years since I lived close enough to Kwanjai Thai to stop in for take-out, and no other thai place quite lives up to it! My husband and I used to call our order in on the way to Fremont, and I just loved the amazing smell when I hopped out of the car to pick dinner up. The place is small, but they are friendly and quick, and the food is amazing.
My husband & I are die-hard red curry and phad thai fans, but we've taken out-of-towners here and they've always raved about their selections, too. The balance of spices and sweetness is perfect, everything tastes fresh, and the phad thai never seems oily or greasy (a common problem, we've found).
If anyone can suggest a great place on the east side of I-5, please do!
