My family has started going to this library almost every day! There are so many free programs including classes, fairs, concerts for the whole family. There is a great selection of everything...books, dvd's, cd's. We've gone crazy with dvd's and books on tape for our family. We use the website to put holds on items and they are available at our specific branch almost immediately. The kids especially love the discontinued books that are on sale for 50 cents. Their own personal libraries are expanding! We love it here!

We purchased our Campion boat here and also have the annual maintenance done here. The service has always been great and the staff very helpful. It's a long drive for us, but well worth it. Highly recommended!

My child was lucky enough to get a week at Camp Patterson this summer. This camp, that features regularly abled kids and special needs kids, was such a positive experience for him. He was nervous to attend and, after his week was over, sad to see it end. He learned to ride in a canoe, bowled, danced, did arts and crafts and of course, swam in Silver Lake (life jackets required if swimming cannot be proven). The camp ran Monday through Friday from 10am-3pm and cost $85. It was well worth it. He felt at ease, comfortable with his disabilities and the counselors were encouraging and helpful.

We took the Mosquito Fleet whale watching a few weeks ago and had a wonderful time. The cruise was well thought out and respectful to the animals. It was a perfect full day adventure.
The ship leaves from the Everett dock very early in the morning (the only thing we didn't like!) and sets off for a three hour cruise to the area off the San Juans where the orcas usually are.
The Mosquito Fleet has a naturalist on board who explains a lot about the whales and the Puget Sound area. I liked how they handled the trip out because they made plenty of stops to point out wild life and told a little bit about the islands in the area.
The whale viewing was great. They gave us plenty of time to see the whales and didn't encroach on their environment.
After watching the whales, the boat stopped in Friday Harbor for a couple of hours so we could get lunch, stretch our legs and shop a bit.
Afterwards it was straight back pretty much at full speed, which was fine with us because the cruise time makes for a long day.
All in all we had a great time! If you're in Seattle/Everett and want to see the whales, this is the most convenient way to do it.

When I think of Kasch Park, I think of the soccer games. It's a great meeting place for this sport with multiple fields. But, for my family, the play structure and covered eating area stand out the most. This quiet, grassy area is perfect for a family party or a quiet afternoon in the sun. I've reserved the covered area several times at no cost and it holds many people, complete with picnic tables and BBQ's and even sinks with running water. The restrooms are easily accessible which makes it even safer to bring the little guys. It could use more benches near the play area but there is plenty of room to throw down a blanket and watch the kids.

I have played soccer here for years. Location is convenient (downtown Everett) though parking can sometimes be difficult since the new events center is nearby. Staff is very friendly and they organize special events (like annual holiday tournaments). Usually the owners are on site and get to know everyone by name. Its always fun to drop by and play during the lunch hour for drop in. My only complaint is the price of a season for a rec team is very high, and I know is much less expensive in Snohomish.
