Checkerboards on the tables and large windows create a relaxing atmosphere for this local hangout that is popular with the younger high school and college crowds.
They can be quite anal about who loiters there though, and the people chatting at the tables need to have a receipt from their purchase to stay for long. Also, they close a bit early, so you'll have to find someplace else to talk until the wee hours of the morning.
