Kinokuniya bookstore has a great selection of japanese books and animation. Its a beautiful store just to visit even if you don't know a word of japanese. It is located right by Rockefeller center so it make a good tourist stop. They have a lovely selection of stationary on the second floor. It can get a little pricey but the paper is beautiful.
