It is almost a pleasure to go to the dentist. Dr. Dettmer and his staff are so professional and make you feel comfortable. The new office has state of the art equipment. The location is very convenient with ample parking. He always tries to accomodate you in an emergency and his staff bends over backwards to get you an appointment.

It's true! It is possible to have a pleasant trip to the dentist. Dr. Carlson runs a small, quiet office in Wheaton. His staff can't be beat. His receptionist is wonderful and kind and just a wonderful person period. She watched my kids for me one day so I could get my teeth cleaned. Unheard of! Dr. Carlson is extremely gentle, easygoing and friendly. He is very concerned about your comfort level. When I was having some teeth extracted, he was very careful to ask frequently if I was uncomfortable in anyway. Additionally, there are flat screen TVs attached to the chairs so you can watch your favorite program while you're getting your teeth taken care of.
I bring my kids there as well and they've had fantastic experiences. They actually look forward to going there to wear the cool sunglasses, get a ride in the chair, watch TV and get a prize at the end. Run, run, run to Dr. Carlson.

The front office and billing staff that I interacted with were all very nice. There was a problem with my insurance, and it was handled professionally and efficiently. The doctor I was did not spend a lot of time with me and didn't really seem to focus on my questions. The office itself is nice, not overdone.

I agree that friendliness is not their strong point, and neither is timeliness. I have been there long enough to witness their method of putting every call on hold, regardless of how busy they really are. The actual dental care is OK, but there are no extras, like a reminder post card in the mail or a new toothbrush or a hint that they ever remember that you've been there before.

Grove Dental Associates specializes in gentle dentisty. I am a complete baby about going to the dentist because I have been mistreated a couple of times. This place is really good for making you feel comfortable, and not making you feel as though you are being rushed. They have cozy chairs, TV's, head-phones, and most importantly, great staff. They can do everything from regular teeth cleanings, braces, etc to complex dental implants and veneers. I have Dr. Kostko there, but have also heard that all the dentists there are friendly and patient. They have two pediatric dentists as well, so you can use them for all your family needs.

Dr. Sargent loves children and is committed to all aspects of alternative medicine from chiropractic care, to discussing holistic avenues such as probiotics. I've been in a few times, and no matter when it is they always seem jam packed full of people. The staff seems rushed, but understandably so. The doctors are nice, and I did feel well cared for. I've never had any problems with billing either. Parking can be tough to find because the lot is often full.
