My girlfriend and I enjoyed the best chicken wings of our life first day of vacation. Our waitress was friendly, though inattentive; overall experience was pedestrian but the wings were heaven\r \r HAD to go back for these wings before driving 650 miles home\r \r Stopped in for a carry-out order during last night of vacation. The man at the bar did not face us while taking our order, did not repeat the order back and sneered at us / rudely gestured to a high-top table near the bar as there was no other room for us to sit\r \r We each ordered a drink; Blue Moon draft for myself and the recommended ""house special cocktail"" for my girlfriend; draft was $6.95, her cocktail rung up '$11.95 long island ice tea"" After 5 minutes I stood by the bar, enduring 5 minutes of asking for the bartender's attention as he paced back and forth in front of us He finally stops, points to the end of the bar, ""your drinks have been sitting down there.""\r \r Sat and watched the 3rd period of game #1 Blackhawks vs. Kings (NHL). Caught up in the end of the game we realized our drinks were disposed and our food never came out. I asked the bartender about our wings (it had been 35 min) he picked up a bag from the end of the bar, scolded me, ""your food has been sitting here for a while, you want this shit or not?"" I've never been to a restaurant where I had to ask for my food, but perhaps its my fault I didn't keep asking about my food every couple of minutes?!\r \r The wings were stone cold and not what we ordered. We asked for the manager, the bartender remarked, ""you're looking at him, pal."" I voiced my concern; the wings were wrong, never brought to us, we have a 10 minute drive back to our hotel, these are now stone-cold. The manager laughed in my face, offering to replace them though, ""any carry-out order is going to be cold by the time you get where you're going . . ."" while muttering, "". . . what a jackass . . .""\r \r I asked another employee who confirmed he was the manager and I was directed to the OTB manager. OTB manager at first denied he would speak to me in such a way, questioned how I talked to him, then assured me, ""well, he isn't going to spit in your food or anything.""\r \r New order was brought out 20 minutes later, over-cooked, steaming hot, blackened, dry wings and a stench that was foul / burned my eyes / face; and all 3 sets of (10) wings were the wrong sauce. We asked the guy, ""what sauces are these?"" he replied, ""I have no idea and I really don't care."" He shoved the wings towards us and said, ""have a good one,"" while walking away.\r \r I waited a few minutes for his attention. He says, ""oh, f&$k, NOW WHAT?!"" I tell him, ""these are not the wings we ordered."" He stomped off, came back 5 minutes later with a single box of wings. After dropping them hard onto the bar, causing the box to pop open, I asked, ""is this all 30 wings?""\r \r He then snapped and screamed, ""I ALREADY MADE YOU 70 F*%KING WINGS, IM NOT F*%KING MAKING ANY MORE!!"" I reminded him our 1st OR 2nd batch was incorrect, I won't accept the wrong order and asked for my money back\r \r He repeated ""he already made me enough wings, youre taking this s*%t and getting the f*%k out of here"" and ""dont ever hang out alone in my parking lot ever again, youll know what youre up against""\r \r I reported to the police who informed me, ""unless I was able to appear within in a few days for a statement"" and ""would have to appear for court within a few months it isn't worth my time to file a report."" I dont blame the PD in this mess, but we had enough - hungry and tired we went to bed defeated\r \r We successfully disputed the charge through our bank and otherwise contacted the GM of Fricker's - the company that owns the rights to the wings / sauce this place sells -I can only hope they pull their endorsement\r \r I've never been treated this way in all my life and to know this is the MANAGER is a new definition for contemptible and shameful more
