In 1997, Dr. Sue Fluhr worked at Layton Animal Hospital. I was lucky enough to stumble on her when my dog Sheeba was diagnosed with cancer. My vet would not do chemo treatments on my dog, so I had to find a vet in our area that would. I found Dr. Sue! She was the most amazing and wonderful vet! She was honest and compassionate! She treated my dog as if it were her loved family member. And when my dog came to the point when she was suffering and needed to be put to sleep...Dr. Sue drove to our house in Oak Creek in the middle of the night from the north shore area. She first had to stop at the clinic to pick up her stuff to put my dog down. She was amazing! She hugged me and we both cried. A week later, I received a sympathy card in the mail along with a certificate making a donation to an animal charity in my dogs honor. She has long left Layton Animal Hospital, but left a big soft spot in my heart for her. I just did a City Search and found where she is now working. I have an appointment for my cat Snoopy to see her on Monday. :) I would give her a hundred stars...if they would let me rate her that high! xoxo
