Kadair's on Florida Boulevard is wonderful. Their customer service and knowledge make purchasing electronics a pleasure. We have purchased cameras, lenses, TVs, stereo equipment, film and developed photos from them for years and have NEVER been less than happy with their product.
Their staff is highly knowledgable, friendly and accomodating (when trying to get last minute things they always help out).
After taking 5 rolls of film to Walgreens 8 years ago (after a 10-day vacation to Hawaii) and having it all ruined because the machine broke I found Kadairs...I suppose my lose was a blessing in disguise.

this is a good store with good selection and knowledgeable staff. the store itself is well located on Jefferson highway, and and its hours are pretty good. the store has a good, classic feel to it and it's pretty laid back. If they don't have something, they can get it. much much better than the competition. they also have a new website and have begun regular, GOOD sales. also, they contribute regularly to lcal org and to katrina relief efforts.

Kadairs truly has everything for your photography needs - from the film, cameras and developing. Tripods and lenses can also be found. There is a large selection of everything and the salespeople answer any questions with ease and plenty of knowledge. Prices are reasonable, service is great and parking is great. We have been using Kadairs for our film needs for the last 3 years and have never been disappointed.

Target on Siegen was the first Baton Rouge area Target store (Lafayette's had one for a long time), and maybe that's why I prefer it over the new Millerville Road location. This store is huge.
They have groceries, probably about 1/4 of the store is dedicated to groceries...but I find their selection and prices are slightly inferior to Wal-Mart. They have a cafeteria (my kids insist on getting an icee every trip). They have a Starbucks, too. Nice deli, a small fresh doughnut and pastry area. Lots of fresh meat and I haven't had any problems with theirs (though I have at Wal-Mart).
Target's pharmacy is wonderful. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and if you coming during a weekday, aside from lunchtime, they can get you filled in 10 minutes.
Target has great quality kids' clothes at very reasonable prices.
Their electronics department is nice, lots of videos (though they don't have the bins of $5.50 DVDs that you can get at Walmart), lots of video games. Nice outdoor department, too.
What Target is MOST fun for, is end-cap trolling. Target puts discounted items on some of the end-cap displays. They discount at 30%, 50%, and 75% off price points and scatter these items throughout the store. Sometimes they'll keep the items on their regular shelf position, so it doesn't hurt to just scan down aisles looking for red clearance tags. But be sure to check the endcaps closest to the walls of the store, particularly in the back. You never know what you'll find!
Also, make sure you utilize the self-scanners in the store, as sometimes items are cheaper than marked.
The store is always clean, very well-lit, and the staff is friendly and helpful. There's a red light to help you get into and out of the parking lot quickly, which helps because this is a high traffic area (near the interstate).
I love Target stores for their quality and prices, and this particular Target is my favorite BR store.

Academy Sports & Outdoors is the best store of its type in Baton Rouge. We have made many purchases at the store. Camping tents, fishing poles, sports apparel, shoes, and barbecue pits are just some of the things we have bought here. They have a huge variety of merchandise offered in the store. If you are a golf fan, this is the place to go. The have clubs, clothes, balls and everything you need for a good golf game. If your kids are involved in sports, go to Academy to buy everything they need for soccer, baseball, basketball and any other sports they are involved in. Academy sells fishing and hunting license. The store is large, fully stocked and set up to make shopping easy. The employees are very helpful and friendly. The checkout process couldn't be easier, they have plenty of registers for getting your merchandise paid for quickly. Shop Academy for all your sporting needs, it will be a great experience.

The stadium was built in the late 60's and it's as awesome now as it was then. The smells, the feeling of complete awe, the cheers, the wave, it's all there for everyone to appreciate and enjoy.
The stadium is round, almost like a colesium of sorts. With the food/drink stands and locker rooms underneath. Not only do you find ordinary people at the LSU games, but I have meet the governor of Louisiana as well as former LSU stars. Also many area business persons are here to enjoy the game. The fans range in age from 2-92 all the experience the LSU football experience.
thanks,
stephanie

I recently went to Sears to purchase drapes for my living room. I took a swatch of all my colors....carpet, paint, and fabric with me. The ladies in the drapery department were the most helpful people I've ever seen. I showed them the swatches and they took me all around to the different drapes they thought would match. They also helped me figure out what dimensions I needed and then helped me pick out the rod.
The store had a very wide selection of draperies and accessories for me to choose from. The department was spacious and beautifully arranged. The drapes came in many different prices to fit every budget.
The checkout experience took less than 5 minutes. They also told me if when I got the drapes home and was not satisfied, I could return them. They were all about product satisfaction.
I highly recommend Sears for all your drapery needs.

The Pilates Studio is a great place to go for a terrific workout without sweating. The environment there is very serene. There is no pressure to look like a model. The classes are small and you get a lot of individual attention from the instructor. Soft music plays while you do the routine. It is paced just right. In fact, the workouts are so good that you will find it is a total escape from anything and everything going on in your life. It is a great way to treat and pamper yourself while getting your body more fit. I highly recommend taking classes here. You will feel comfortable instantly.
