We were a month behind in rent and paying the previous months rent. we got a letter in the mail saying that we would be evicted if we didn't pay the month of late rent. we promptly paid said rent, the very next day after receiving the letter. now, over a month later we have received a letter from the court saying we have to appear in court and pay the back rent. WHICH HAS ALREADY BEEN PAID! we have the check numbers/ copies of the checks and they have cleared from our account already. i can't understand why they have been such cuntwhores about this when we have been so nice about them not fixing anything that is wrong with this building. we have a front window that is ready to FALL OUT, the vent in our bathroom doesn't work, which has led to 2 of the doors/mirrors on our bathroom cabinet to fall off (from the rust), the drain on our bathtub is broken, we get rats from the GIANT HOLE IN OUR WALL in the kitchen, and we have water damage in our bedroom from the roof leaking! the ROOF, a major part of the building is in disarray and no one seems to care! also we have a cell tower putting off dangerous rf waves, which are above the level for humans to be around.. i called the FCC on these people.. my point is, DO NOT RENT FROM THEM. they are the worst kind of people. everyone in our building has had some sort of problem with them. we are going to leave this place, i hope the next person to see it reads this review and dodges a bullet. DO NOT RENT AT 71 COLUMBIA ST BK NY!!!
