My husband has been seeing Dr. Akers for 30 years, and I've been going for about 10 years. He is an excellent dentist who does your teeth cleaning himself. His prices are absolutely FAIR. I have never paid $1000 for a cleaning - it is always under $100. I am sure there was some strange misunderstanding with the other reviewer because Dr. Akers has been around for many years and his practice would not have lasted if they were scamming people. Another plus is I have never waited in the waiting room and I can always get an appointment within a week or two.
