Cornerstone Coffee has really been the ""cornerstone"" of meeting places in McMinnville, for over 20 years. They are located in the historic district (Old-town, very quaint!) part of McMinnville. They have a friendly staff and a very comfortable atmosphere, which includes a chess set up at the ""bar"". Cornerstone roasts their own coffee, on-site, and has been voted ""best coffee in Mac"" for several years now. In the last survey, they were voted ""best place to meet friends"". It's so true! Either people that you know and are meeting up with or meeting people because you always see them there! There is music every Friday night, from 7:00 to 9:00 (usually; call to make sure!) and an open-mic every 1st Wednesday, from 7:00 to 9:30. Sign-ups start at 6:30 and are usually done by 6:35! I run this open-mic. We get new talent all the time, but have a few ""regulars"" that have kept it going for four years now! (Two years were at a different location.) We have a good sound system and do our best to make you sound good! We prefer not to have a drum kit as it gets too loud. :) There is a piano on site, that's available to play, also. For some reason, this site doesn't allow changes - or I don't see a button for it, anywhere! - but the address on here is incorrect. It's 216 NE Third St....right next to the Prudential office and across the street from Boersma's Quilt Shop.
