Comet Camera was outsourced by Cutler Camera to fix my Sony 707. The initial estimate was $155.82. I agreed to the repair and it was to be completed in 6 weeks. The estimate then jumped to $252.28. I asked for an explaination and Cutler said they would get back to me. Over three months later I got a call from Comet Camera stating that they had my camera and it would be $353.58 to get it returned. I argued and demanded an explanation. They told me to call Cutler. I called Cutler and they said they are going out of business so I can do whatever I want it doesnt matter, but if I want my camera back it would be $263 plus shipping. I have to pay shipping because the Harrisburg location that I dropped it off at went out of business. I was supposed to pick it up there and of course not pay shipping charges. Or ""I could drive to New Jersey if I didnt want to pay the shipping"". ""We are doing you a favor."" is what they told me. They still have my camera and refuse to give it back unless I pay the extorted amount.
