Great worship and great pastor. Big facility and doing lots of great things. Lots of opportunity to serve. Unlike traditional church, the messages are very relevant. This place also hosts lots of concerts for Christian worship leaders.

Somehow they have managed to burrow hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of art, which is a nice embellishment to a learning site and their quiet places to read. The children's computers have software that entertains as it teaches. People who still have VCRs have many options in this system; the DVDs tend to go fast. They have dozens of computers and free wireless access. It's one of the best ways that our government spends our money.

Liquor stores in WA state irritate me in general, because liquor sales are so regulated here. You won't come in finding wines and liquors and mixers. For mixers, go to the grocery store. For wines, go to the grocery or better yet a wine store. For liquor, go where you can, because there aren't many stores in this state that sell it. This Liquor store is as good as any I've come across in the area, but it's still WA state, so the convenience of doing all your shopping in one place is sure to elude.

They are an amazing resource, whether you want to socialize, locate baby supplies for twins, find hand-me-downs to cut your budget, get twin-parent-specific recommendations and advice, or get books and information on handling your double (or triple, or quadruple) blessing! I would recommend getting in touch with them the *second* you learn that you are expecting twins - or immediately, if you already have twins - if you are in the east-of-Seattle area. We started with Boys and Girls Club this week. I thought my son would have a hard time transitioning from the daycare he has attended since he was 3 years old to B&GC, but it has been excellent. They are always engaged in an activity when I pick him up in the late afternoon. The first day, he was running around the gymnasium with all the other kids, bouncing balls and shooting hoops. The second day, he was reading from a box of books that the library brings to B&GC every week (the books rotate in weekly). Today, they were watching a video. He loves it and I am very happy!

I cannot get over how easy it is to get materials from the King County Library System! I love it! I frequent the Redmond Regional Library most often.
The most amazing thing is that you can put books on hold via the Internet and have them sent to your local library for pick-up. This is a *huge* time saver for anyone who might not have a lot of it to kill actually going in and looking for a volume. KCLS will email you when your item is ready for pick-up.
Something else the Redmond Library has done recently is add self-check-out computers. No more standing in line, waiting and waiting. You just whip out your card, scan your items and go. It's awesome.
The only drawback to this particular branch is that the parking is usually PACKED. I am hopeful that when Redmond opens the new city hall and adjoining parking lot, this problem will be alleviated.

Most if not all of my experience with Redmond Parks has been with classes taken at Farrel McWhirter Park. I have been pleased with the classes. I like the fact that you can register online. I really like to do stuff online rather than talking on the phone!
My son has taken a series of pony classes at the park. They are affordable and offer a lot of riding time for each student. There is a pony club and the members of the club volunteer as leads for the classes. Children learn about safety around horses, the parts of the saddle, how to saddle the horse, the standards of riding, etc. Parents who go with the students get to walk the trails at Farrel McWhirter for a bit of exercise! Although last time we walked a VERY muddy trail at the park and I got my nice clean tennis shoes very dirty.
I look forward to taking more pony classes at Farrel McWhirter!

Emmaus Counseling Center is located right in the heart of Redmond and has a variety of therapists to meet the needs of the community.
Upon calling Emmaus, I was set up with a therapist within a week. Having never been to therapy before, I wasn't sure what to expect. Emmaus is in a house, so you're waiting in a living room. It's very quiet and peaceful.
I know several people who have seen different therapists here, and they have all been more than happy with the results of their counseling. A good place to call if you live in Redmond and thing you could benefit from counseling.

The church itself is very nice, scenic, waterfall outdoor, next to Theno's ice cream shop!! The pastor is kind, sincere and just a regular down home guy, raised in Washington, he's young and has good messages for every person. Its comfortable, no pressure, the pastor speaks to you like a regular person, no chastising, no finger pointing, just good old sensible teaching. Kids events, family events, lots to do! Holiday events galore, the pastor and his family are great people.
