It was a pleasure to be in The British Pantry with all kinds of British items and then have a delicious meal at their restaurant Neville's next door. I wish I'd known about the British Pantry last summer when I was hunting for gifts to bring back home from England! It would have saved a lot of space in my luggage. My cousin, who also went to England last summer, thought I would enjoy it. She was so right! We're eager to go back for more shopping and dining.
Pros: Great selection of items, and excellent menu.

For those who say that you like it, I would "agree" because I liked the place too but I would "disagree" because:
"From Redmond's historic "1914 Stone House" to the world wide web, we are pleased to now offer our teas for sale online! ... SASSY TEAHOUSE & BOUTIQUE IS NOW CLOSED. Retail liquidation in progress. Many heartfelt thanks to our faithful patrons over the past three years. We hope that your experiences at Sassy brought many blessings to you."
Which one of those drop-dead gorgeous women running the place was the owner? It was such a gem of a place, it's too bad that somebody didn't perpetuate it, like the members of the local historical preservation society. (And so I thought why not give it 5-Stars and rub people's noses in it?) Oh well, c'est la vie.

JoAnn R (below) must place fruit into the same hazardous category. There’s always a chance you could get hit on the head by a rogue apple.
I watch what I eat. I read ingredient lists. I shop at PCC, Whole Foods, and Organic to Go. I frequently eat at Blazing Bagels.
The PCC "approved" ingredient list looks like this: unbleached wheat flour, water, brown sugar, malt flour, salt, yeast, calcium sulfate, and enzymes. If I don’t stay on top of my bagels, they get hard. Why – because there’s NO preservatives.
Thank the Lord in heaven there’s still quality food, made without dangerous chemicals, reasonably priced, and out-of-this-world delicious.
JoAnn R… check your own label before you slander the one you haven’t read.

Jerzy’s is a lovely little coffee house in Redmond. It looks like it used to be a residence. Their menu feature Crepes as well Panini style sandwiches. With only two crepe makers, service can be a little slow if many are ordering crepes.
The standard crepes menu is offered with sweet as well as savory crepes such as the strawberries and crème or the Ham and Cheese and Turkey & spinach. For those on a short lunch break, they will take orders over phone or fax.
They roast their own coffee and serve tea as well as ice cream and a variety of desserts. Free WiFi is provided with a $5 purchase and they don’t care if you sit all day. There’s an upstairs lounge where groups often meet up and they do have events. The website isn't listed on Judy's book, so here it is. http://jerzyscoffee.com they've got pictures of the interior as well as exterior.
They roast their own coffee and also sell the beans. It’s a good roast and they promise never to over-roast their beans. No nasty bitter stuff trying to be passed off as good coffee here! Good coffee, great crepes, friendly staff more than willing to fill up your tea-pot with more hot water. I haven’t tried their Hot Panini sandwiches as I always go for their crepes.
The staff are young folk and I’ve had mixed up orders or large orders missing an item, but all in all, a great place to visit with friends or while away a rainy afternoon if you’re seeking a different environment in which to work / getting away from the office. Not nearly as loud or noisy as a Starbuck’s. You can’t go wrong here for a great little casual coffee house.
Four nostalgic stars for taking me back my student days and funky little coffee houses when I step in.

Not being big on cake, my husband and I just wanted to be sure our wedding cake was moist and flavorful. We went to a tasting at Mike's Amazing Cakes being aware of his artistic cake designs. We found their flavors to be unique, and all the cakes were so moist! We wound up ordering 2 flavors, with the huge favorite being banana cake with Kahlua caramel cream filling. It tasted as good as homemade banana bread, which was perfect for our fall wedding. Since we did not order any special decorating since our florist was putting flowers around the cake, we were able to get the cake for $1.50 per serving including delivery.
Mike's was very professional and great to work with, and I would gladly recommend them to anyone. It is also fun to catch Mike on the Food Network specials :).

I love this bread company! If you want a sample, they are way too generous - they give you this SLAB of bread to sample. I'm satsfied wtih a tiny piece, I usually end up buying 2 loaves, and maybe a cinnamon roll. The bread smells great, tastes fresh, and makes good toast. They have info at the stores to tell you the ingredients of the breads too. I wish there were a few more around western washington tho!
