With all the great restaurants in the Lancaster area, I expected to find this diner to be another good one. The decor was not fancy by any means but I didn't expect it to since it was a diner afterall.The menu had some variety but nothing outstanding. While the waitress was efficient and friendly, the hot sandwich and mashed potatoes placed before me was unappealing due to the fact that the gravy on them was cold and lacked much taste. I didn't have time to send it back to be heated and tried eating at least some of it before I had to be on my way. Several weeks later, I decided to try it one more time for a breakfast with my daughter. I thought perhaps my previous "" hot"" sandwich was an exception to the rule and not the norm. Both my daughter and I were taken into a side room and left there. No one came for our order for several minutes. Other people were then seated in our room and the waitress went to them and took their orders and still we sat. Finally, a waitress noticed us and came over and took our order. Again, the plates of food were placed in front of us and it was cold! We looked at each other, got up and paid for our breakfasts and went across the street to McDonald's. Not the breakfast we had wanted but at least that one was hot and filling.
Pros: efficient, friendly service first trip, not so the second
