Sometimes I don't feel like making the trek up to Vons or any of the larger supermarkets. On those days that I am feeling lazy I take a walk over to BB's. There I can find a large butcher area with a good variety of regular and Mexican style cut of meat, fresh salsa and seafood. The produce section is a bit rustic looking but there is a good selection of fruits and veggies but make sure check them thoroughly as they are sometimes left out too long specially the avocados. Perfect if making guacamole but not so good to eat in slices. The best feature of BB's is it large selection of Hispanic and Mexican foods. All sorts of rice, beans and some hard to find products. Fresh pastries and bread (perfect for homemade tortas) are always available. The checkout staff are very quick and pleasant.
