The is a restaurant that has been around for many years. One has the feeling that the godfather of Santa Monica eats here every night (if there were such a thing). The atmosphere is lovely. The food is more than ""average"", but the service is very lack-luster. My last visit (and I mean my last visit), I was not asked if I wanted wine, I was not asked if I wanted a second drink before the salad was brought. I had a very rushed feeling, and there seemed to be no reason for the ""rush"" as the place was half empty. The restaurant lost a lot of money, and the waiter lost a lot of tip...almost all; i.e. he got a dollar. That is bad!
