Zaika has a nice ambiance, and from the luscious menu descriptions, we were expecting a real treat. But once our food came, it was all downhill. The portions were smaller than what I feed my cat, but I'm sure my cat's food is more flavorful. There was absolutely no flavor to the spinach dish we ordered. It tasted like boiled spinach with no salt. The other vegetable curry was scarcely better. Zaika's prices aren't cheap, either. We left feeling hungry and utterly ripped off. With all of the good Indian restaurants in Berkeley, don't waste your time or money at Zaika's.
