The reason why I like this beach is that they have a doggy beach as well. Having just got a little puppy this is the perfect place to go on the weekend. Although it can be quite populated there's always room to just get away from the others and lay out in the sun as well. The one draw back is that there are a lot of pets so that means a lot of "gooey" sand too, but that's expected at a doggy beach so not really complaining.
