I was quite amazed when entering the Tampa Theater. I didn't know it would be as pretty as it is. It is essentially built in an art-deco style, with Egyptian motifs throughout. If you are looking for "art house" films, this is the place to go. They regularly show interesting films that mainstream theaters wouldn't bother with. They also have a variety of other events--speakers, bands, authors, etc. A very interesting space to visit. I think they also have a "behind-the-scenes" tour on Saturdays.

The Regal Cinemas in Citrus Park Mall may be in a convenient location but the seating is extremely uncomfortable, especially when compared to some of the other local theaters. I found the seats to be too upright, hard, and the back of the chair ended near my neck/head causing it to be very uncomfortable. The arm rests are movable but there is so much plastic on them that they can be annoying.
The theaters are mostly small but they do have stadium seating. I would highly recommend another theater (in particular the Veterans AMC) over this location.

If you really want to see a movie in comfort then I really reccomend this Muvico. The seats are super comfortable and the theater is always spotless, also once you go stadium seating you just cant go back to regular theaters. The prices are kinda steap for tickets unless you catch an early show or maybe your a student or a senior citizen. With that being said sometimes you have to just splurge and enjoy a movie night that doesnt include your DVD player.

AMC Westshore is located in the Westshore Shopping Mall. If you are only going to the theater, park on the top level of the parking garage located between Macy's and Sears (there are two other garages - so look for signs).
Westshore has plenty of dining options ranging from the food court to PF Changs, Maggianos, and the Palm restaurant. Great for spending an evening of shopping, dining, and movie watching.
Kiosks are available near the ticketing counter if you don't want to wait in line.

Sunrise Cinemas is a bit of a trek if you don't live in South Tampa, but the prices run the same or cheaper as bigger chain theaters in the area.
There isn't stadium seating or a surround sound system that will deafen you, but you can catch first-run and independent movies every day, all day.
Most theaters in the Tampa area won't show movies that don't come from a big studio or distributor. But if you've seen a movie reviewed somewhere and know that it won't be coming to your local AMC, Sunrise is likely where you'll see it. In the past few weeks, I've seen 2 European movies, 2 indepedent American films, and a film and lecture which happens monthly.
The cinema has just started their own rewards program, but the admission price is usually just $6, so no worries. Their snack bar is ample, but it's more expensive than even regular movie theaters, so watch out. $4.50 for a smoothie.
The ambience is great, you can play chess and sit in a comfy chair while you wait. Fresh flower arrangements and copies of the Weekly Planet.

I decided on this photographer for my wedding after reviewing a variety of pictures at Laurel Wood Gardens which reflected the work of many different photographers. Alana's style is more natural with a photo journalists style. She also provided all the negatives as part of the photo package, which saves when getting additional prints. It was very difficult to meet for planning and picking up/dropping off the proofs, etc.
