This was a lovely place to visit, someplace to want to come again and again. There are many trails to take, your choice depending on the amount of time and energy you have. Guided tours were available; dogs were allowed on leash. If I lived in Santa Barbara, I would become a member.

The Santa Barbara zoo is a lot of fun for the family. There are a lot of animals at the zoo, especially since it is a zoo in a relatively small community. The thing that the kids love the most is that there is a little train that the kids and parents can take that goes around the zoo and shows you the animals. The train is always the big hit. Another thing that is good about this zoo is that it is so beautifully landscaped and there is a really beautiful little area designated for having a picnic. The only reason that I did not give the Santa Barbara Zoo 5 stars is because of the parking. They do not tell you that you have to pay for parking, so you park in the parking lot and then when you buy your tickets, they tag on a parking fee.

This is one of the nicest places to see any type of event. The theater can hold alot of people but even non optimal seats have nice views. They also have non movie events here which the location seems to be well suited for, The location on upper state street is also nice because you can avoid some of the crowds.

They have a really good selection of high-end TV's and home entertainment stuff. Their prices are not as high as you may think considering it's Santa Barbara! The sales people are very helpful and knowledgeable. They will not set up in Ventura County unless you want to pay extra, so it's not worth going there: may as well shop closer to home and get the delivery without the expense.

When I first made the hike up to the venue, I was thinking this is it? It's like a mini amphitheatre nestled in the hill. Such a nice place to see a show and not a bad seat, but unfortunately I can only go see a show there if it falls on a weekend since it's a 2 hour drive (depending on traffic) from Los Angeles. There's not much in terms of concessions and the line can be quite long so I recommend you eat beforehand or bring in a snack before arriving. Parking wasn't an issue since I parked at Santa Barbara High School lot, only a short walk away.

Morninglory is on State Street, and is a great place to get music. They have a large selection to choose from and carry a lot of hard to find music. And if they don't have it, they will order it for you. They also buy used cd's. The people who work there are very helpful, friendly and know what they're talking about. I would definitely recommend to anyone to give this place a try before you go to Tower Records, Best Buy or any other music store.

Even though this museum is quite small and as a result nothing compared to some of the art museums in bigger cities, the experinece can be quite rewarding. The collection has a variety (a little small) of nice works from national and international artists. Admission is free on sundays so that is pretty nice as well. The museum is near the courthouse so the two can be combined for a nice day downtown.

Whenever I have any art project & need something obscure, they have it in stock. Will be glad when the new parking structure is complete. It is a little difficult getting there with all the construction.

The view of the channel Islands from the ridge tops is breathtaking . There is ample places for picnic and playing. The different plants and trees prove to be a great educational experience.

The Lobero Theatre is a great small venue to see the performing arts. I have been there to see many ballet, jazz, opera, comedy and even some lectures. During the holidays there is an extended performance of the Nutcracker Sweet. The Theatre is small and quaint - perfect size for Santa Barbara.
