My husband and I recently took our 2 kids to Orlando for a 4 day adventure. On our way out the last day we accidently came across Funspot while trying to find the cheapest gas prices. We bought 2 unlimited passes for the kids and sat under the shade while they started their day. After about 10-15 minutes of watching them on those go-karts... needless to say I looked at my husband and said lets do this. He was gone in a flash. :) When all had a total blast!!! We actually enjoyed it better than the past few days we had spent at them theme parks. We seriously felt like kids again.

I enjoyed the dining experience I had at Sleuth's while I was in the Orlando area in the days prior to my beach wedding. However, I don't really think it was worth the money. The show was funny, but it was not hysterically funny. The mystery was too easy to figure out and I was uncomfortable with the seating arrangement of sitting at a table full of strangers. The actors were very personable and made sure to stop by each table and spend some time talking and joking with the diners before dinner. The food was OK, but for the price, it should have had a lot more flavor.

Located in Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida, Animal Kingdom is the fourth and newest theme park. This park is filled with all kinds of wonderful attractions and rides. Look closely at the Tree of Life and take in all the details. Some favorites- Expedition Everest, Lion King Show and the Safari Ride! The animals are fascinating as well.

I know there's a lot to see and do at Epcot Center, but my absolute favourite place in the park is the World Showcase. Where else can you enjoy food, beer, and culture from so many countries for less than a plane ticket to *one* of those destinations?
The China "exhibit" is always cool -- they get kids from the acrobatic team to perform stunts that is always entertaining. Japan has the taiko drums.
Every country has some kind of exhibit to learn more about the history of the country and a lot of them some kind of interactive exhibit like a ride or something. I think all of them also have a kid craft that if your kids do them all they can get a pin or something at guest services. I don't have kids, so I'm not positive, but I see the kids walking around with the crafts.
Every year in the fall they also host the International Food and Wine Festival. This year it's held from October 2, 2006 to November 12, 2006.

Throughout the years I have been to all the theme parks offered by Disney
World except MGM. So this was our choice for May 2,2006. We left early
so as to beat the heat of the day and ended up having to wait for it to open.
Although we were at the head of the line it didn't take long for zillions of people
to come out of nowhere. Once inside, everyone diverted in different directions.
My hubby got such a kick out of a San Franciso Back Board which appeared
surprizingly real from a distance. Of course I had the camera on constantly.
We toured the land of America lot before deciding to go on The Great Movie
Ride. In that area He noticed a stage for "Who Wants to Be A Millionaire"
and being that that is his favorite show we made sure we got in there also.
Its so neat because anyone can end up in the hot seat and you play for
prizes, not money but you can win a disney cruise for up to 4 people. We
went in the game show more than once. I wanted to see the Aerosmith
roller coaster ride, not go on it but view it. Yes, I was scared (LOL). We had
a chance to see just about everything and its not that big of a theme park.
By 2 pm the sun drove us to leave but we have plentiful good memories of
this visit!!!

I am not a fan in swimming in water parks but I have to say that it was very clean.. Went down a few slides which were awesome...of course you reach the bottm with a wedgie but that is the way it goes...lol.. They have lockers so you don't have to worry about hauling around your stuff. I prefered floating around the river on a tube all day long...met people from all around the world. It was great. The food wasn't that pricey. I had a few strawberry smoothies and enjoyed watching all the families having a wonderful time together as I got a tan on the beach... Don't forget the wave pool...they have plenty of lifeguards throughout the park so no need to worry. Try to go during the week for less lines...but that is a given. :)
PS..Don't forget the sunscreen and towel..

I was a bit apprensive about paying nearly $600 for my husband and I to go to Discovery Cove on a recent vacation, but it was totally worth it! The dolphin swimming experience was shorter than desired, but we got to touch them, ride along with them, kiss them, and watch them do tricks. You can not take photos, but they have professional photographers who take them for you to purchase.
The snorkeling area was incredible as well, a great experience. There is also a heated swimming area, a lazy river area, and an aviary to feed the birds.
I loved the beautiful white sand "beach" area. It was so nice to just relax and lay back in a hammock and enjoy the nice Florida weather.
The food was great too - continental breakfast, lunch, and drinks and snacks all day long are included which was a big plus.
I would only recommend it if you are a very good swimmer, however. Many of the areas were 8-15+ feet deep. They do have life jackets to wear, but it can still be a little nerve racking!

It's no surprise that when Disney created Typhoon Lagoon, they knew what they were doing. This tropically-themed water park has everything from a huge wave pool and sandy beach to a tropical reef where you can snorkel with the fish. Admission isn't cheap, but it's a full day of entertainment. My suggestion is- bring as little as you can. Leave important stuff at the hotel safe, including jewelry and stuff. The waves will suck your valuables away faster than you can say "undertow." Also, get there early if you want a chair. This place packs them in, so be warned that you'll be waiting awhile to swoosh down the slides.

Downtown Disney is free to get into, but of course there is a catch- it is Disney shops! This is a one stop place to get your WDW gear. It is amazing! The stores are all laid out well and you can find almost anything you could imagine with Disney on it. The glass shop is off the beaten path, but it has beautiful Disney drinking glasses that can be personalized. There all also many restaurants- you can easily spend a day (and LOTS of money) here.

My wife and I had been ballooning before in California and had been stuck in the middle of one of those big balloons... so when we looked in Florida we wanted something more personable. Jon and his crew offered us a private flight, just the 2 of us. This made it perfect! Jon was great, although he needs to work on his jokes, and we had a wonderful experience. We would recommend him to anyone.
