This restaurant is classified as Italian, but it's actually a Mediterranean affair. They have outdoor seating for a nice summer meal, but don't fret. If it's winter, they have an amazing fireplace that heats up the small restaurant.
The decorating inside is a bit mild, and the entrees are limited, but the appetizers and desserts are AMAZING. If you're looking for a nibble after hitting BroadRipple shops, THIS is the place to stop!!

Everyone I know that has eaten at Kabob Korner raves about how good the food is. It's nothing fancy, just great food at an incredible price.
I love the vegetarian special it has lentils, rice with raisins and carrots, a spinach dish and an eggplant dish, all the flavors combined leaving you completely satisfied. I usually have enough food for two meals.
I would strongly recommend this "best kept secret" to anyone that is looking for something other than a commercial food chain and is still looking for an amazing experience for your tasted buds.
Pros: The food is inexpensive and incredibly delicious

Sit up front at regular tables, or in the the middle room with low tables and seats and an extensive Egyptian flair in the decor.
There are many foods to choose from-veggies, meats, soups, and great desserts. Tho the basics are the same, the menu does add varieties. The owner is so friendly and helpful if you are not familiar with the food.
Jewelry and gifts are available, and a grocery store in the back room. You can easily spend several hours looking, talking, eating, and just having fun.
The price is very reasonable and remember this-they are closed on Tuesdays.
Pros: Great food!
Cons: There needs to be more lighting over the food area so people can better see what they are getting.

I was really excited to check out this restaurant--I had passed by it many times on Mass Ave. When my date suggested that we try it out, I jumped at the chance. This cafe-style restaurant has a really good vibe, and the food presentation is great, however, the service almost ruined the entire experience. The food was pretty good, although it was definitely on the expensive side for a cafe and for the food that is served. However, it would have been worth it if the service was good. The waiter was very standoffish. She never asked how our meal was or if we needed anything during our dinner. I will not go back to this restaurant, and I would recommend passing by as well.

The atmosphere and customer service was great! The food was average or below. In fact, I have had better from the Olive Garden and saved a few dollars. I had the Chicken Marsala and mushrooms (bland) and cheese risotto (undercooked and crunchy). The spinach, however, was amazing. I am neutral on the garlic mashed potatoes. The portions were nice but it was not a meal that I wanted to revisit. I ate very little and did not take the rest to go.
Pros: sauteed spinach, customer service, atmosphere
