Staff acts like they are doing you a favor to serve you. Food is average off the truck menu fare in large portions. Probably one of Durham's better restaurants if you can overlook...

Good food, not great for kids 4/12/2006

The food is good, prices are a bit high. However, the portions are huge so you could split a dish with someone. I didn't find it very kid friendly as there was no child menu and they didn't have the standard coloring paper and crayons for our kids. This was some time ago so I don't know if they have changed this. Because of the lack of child's menu I felt it wasn't aimed at family dining so we have not gone back. more

The food is pretty consistent and good, but I wouldn't say it's spectacular. It's a good place to go if you're dining with people who aren't really adventurous eaters. The food is kind of pricey, but the portions are pretty huge, so you could easily split most dishes (even when you get the smaller side). The service is usually pretty good. It's nice to eat outside when the weather is pleasant. It's probably not worth the wait, if the line is really long, as it sometimes is on Friday and Saturday nights. more

Once you try this you will never go back to any other Italian restaurant! The food is to die for, every person who has gone there that I know of has said that place is the greatest. The service is perfect also, the manager is always walking around making sure everything is perfect and there are always waiters available. The price is a little high but it is not way to expensive. If you like Italian food, you'll love Maggiano's. more

Best Italian Restaurant 5/11/2005

This place is like heaven. They have some of the best food to offer in Durham, NC. I would recommend this place to anyone who is interested in some really good Italian food. I find the prices to be very reasonable and the food to be of superior taste. The food was marvelous, the service was outstanding the nite was fantastic!
