I have been doing business with this company for over fifteen years and up to this date had been happy with their service. I had my clock on my oven replaced by Zajic and within a year not only the clock went out my oven also went out. I called Zajic to have my oven repaired and was told by the service tech that the wiring for the oven cleaner and clock were crossed (it was also noted on the bill that he had repaired the wiring). I was sold another clock totaling over $350.00 for replacement of the clock, a service charge and labor. When I called Zajic to ask about being charged for a new clock when the other clock that they had installed only lasted one year and the wiring was crossed, I was told that the tech would be contacted about the repair and I would be called back. I did not get a call back. When I called back two days later I was told that the tech did not say what I heard him say and that he only replaced the clock. I will never do business with Zajic again and will not recommend to anyone to do business with Zajic. more

The worst customer service ever! 8/25/2010

I called this morning to find out what time my appointment window would be. The said 9-11am. Well, 12:30 rolls around, and nothing. No phone call, again nada. I own a couple of businesses which rely on customer service and I understand the value of our clients time. Apparently Zagic does not. I leave at 12:45 to give an estimate that I was running late for because of Zagic. Return at 2:30 to see a message from them stating that they were there at 2:15. Only 4hrs late! I call back, Brian apologizes and says he will contact his guy to see where he is at and will call me back in 10 minutes. One hour and thirty minutes later I call to see what is going on. Brian then says that i didn't speak to him, that it was someone else. Wow, the blame game! What a way to not own up and take responsibility for your actions! He then apologizes and says I can have a guy there in 15 min. I agree. He then calls me 35 minutes later to say that one of his guys finished early and will be there 20 minutes. Finally said no thank you. What a waste of my entire day. Thanks for showing me your true colors about the importance of customer service. I highly DO NOT recommend this company! more

I had a repairman in to fix a Thermador oven. The heating element on top oven was not working after I had tried using the self cleaning cycle. He was here for over an hour trying to figure out the problem. He fixed it (an override switch when the oven overheats, turns off the heating elements), he said that it was his error not figuring out sooner, because he misread line diagram for one part. He only charged me their minimum rate. I was really surprised and was really happy I had used them. I am glad they are starting to repair other makes (Thermador and DACOR, Bosch) as I have had to use others in the area for those and have felt ripped off and my DACOR cooktop has never been the same. Repairman very nice, kept neat workspace and was on time. more

Fantastic Service 2/25/2010

My front loading washer leaked massive amounts of water. I called them and was originally given a time for the afternoon. Within 30 minutes, they called back and said a tech became available and he was there within 10 min. \r \r He was very efficient, answered all my questions, walked me through what he was doing when I asked, and had the washer fixed in no time at all. He even asked me if I had a Valley phone book (which I did), found the coupon for 10% off and took the 10% off my bill.\r \r Now THAT's service for you. I would highly recommend this company to anyone!! more

Excellent Service! 4/17/2009

I use Zajic appliance for all of my appliance service repairs. They have always been very knowledgeable and have offered excellent service with reasonable prices EVERY time. You can't get better than that! Pros: Great Communication and knowledgeable. Cons: none more

Excellent local family-run business 12/16/2008

I've done business with Zajic's for 24 years. They are responsive, reasonably-priced, and honest. They will talk to you about the realistic cost of repair vs. replacement before sticking you with a huge repair bill. On the retail end, my experience is that they will match your best price found anywhere (in my case, on the Internet). It's nice to do business with a local family where the management has a face. more

BAD service HUGE charge! 4/17/2008

I called Zajic about an old dishwasher making a loud noise. My house is about 4 miles form their store. The repair person showed up, walked in looked at the dishwasher, couldn't find the model number. He said, "I can't find the model number, there is nothing I can do." (I found the model number online in about 5 minutes.) He then handed me a bill for $70.00. I didn't pay at the time - as requested - I then called the service department to discuss the fees. The woman I spoke to told me she would talk to the service manager and get back to me. She never did and the next thing I got was a letter from a collection agency. I will NEVER use them again. more

I didn't know what he was talking about, so he talks me through it and when I found the bad capacitor and brought it in, the tech sifted through many kinds until he found the right one. Oh yah! No Charge. more

It's been two years since the wife and I bought our super-high-tech Maytag laundry set. Zajic has been in the neighborhood since we bought the house here 30 years ago. They maintain a spotless, bright showroom with a service area that adjoins it, equally open and clean. No dungeon for tech guys as an afterthought.\r \r The first day we had the machines, the pump failed (the pump vendor had omitted the drift pin that holds the impeller on the the shaft). Although it was late on a Saturday afternoon, Zajic sent a young man over within an hour with a new pump right on the truck ("There has been a bad batch of pumps, so we've been carrying spares").\r \r What we have shared with our friends since then is that this family business knows what corporate dramas affect the hardware and have developed ways of keeping ours running, and advising us accurately about what new hardware works best.\r \r The clueless children writing up orders at the mega stores can't do that. And the prices are the same. more

Great prices, better people! 8/24/2005

I needed a new stove apparently because there was some type of damage that couldn't be repaired (according to a repairman that I called to repair). So, I checked out Zajic to check out the stoves there. They had a huge selection of stoves. I ended up purchasing a stove in just 20 minutes of browsing. I couldn't be happier with my stove right now. No troubles whatsoever. I recommend this place for any appliance. more

No Charge 6/28/2005

I went into the store to get a silverware basket for my dishwasher. The store attendant handed me one that matched perfectly. I asked how much -- "No charge" was his reply. I thanked him and went on my way. The store has windows all around so the lighting is great to look at appliances. They have been in the neighborhood a long time. PROS: No charge CONS: Looks expensive more
