Great year-round! 3/23/2006

There is the rose garden, best in June, but having some blooms as early as Mother's Day, the bandstand has concerts in July and August, the walking/bike trails are great for fall color, and the pond and bridge are fascinating in the winter. We enjoy the library, rec center, and playground all year long. Even though we no longer live in Clintonville, we visit regularly. It is a family favorite. more

Beautiful Park! 8/13/2005

I had a wonderful time visiting this park. I was there at the beginning of June and the roses were gorgeous and fragrant. I took my son in the stroller and walked around the paved path. It is a very peaceful and beautiful place to visit. We were there on a Wednesday morning/afternoon and there were not a lot of people visiting at that time. We let our kids splash around int the fountain in the middle of the park and they had a blast. The best part about this park is that it is free! more

Beautiful and peaceful 8/6/2005

I've been going to the Park of Roses ever since I have been a small child. My grandmother took me there often, and when she passed away, we put a memorial stone in her honor there. Recently, my older sister got married at this park. It's beautiful and peaceful, with every kind of variety of roses that you could imagine (and some you couldn't) in bloom during the spring and summer. There's a gazebo for the performing arts, and a tall iron tower you can climb to look over the whole park. I have a lot of sentimental memories of this place, and I'm sure you can make your own memories there if you give it a try. There are many things that go on during the year at the park, including jazz groups, and a big festival held on the 4th of July (with all the vendors that the holiday entails). My favorite park in the city! more
