Trader Joe's cannot be beat for ready-to-make dinners! I love their frozen food section, with everything from tapas to chocolate torte...all ready to thaw or bake and eat!! They have a nice selection of non-frozen whole and organic foods, and their floral section has great bargains on cut flowers everyday.
Most of the time their prices are terrific, but when the price is high, it's because the quality is great or the item is hard-to-find and worth the money. I come here about once a month to get our favorites and find new ones.
You really should give Trader Joe's a try!

I guess we missed the all you can eat night. The service was attentive, knowledgeable and friendly. The kids' menu was great. The food was ok, but vastly overpriced for the size of the meal and the quality of the food. I was surprised at how expensive the bill was, especially since it was higher than the other family steak joints in town.
All in all, a good restaurant, and a nice steak...but just not worth the money.

While the food is good, the service is just awful. After talking pleasantly to no less than 4 managers of 4 OG's in 3 cities, I've discovered that the seating rotation...and your wait that lasts FOREVER...is on purpose, for pete's sake!
Corporate management has decided that successful restaurants have waits, and that you feel more valued if your wait staff has more time with you...thus the 20 minute wait when you are the only people waiting to be seated, and the 80 minute wait on Fridays and Saturdays. Unfortunately, their strategy seems successful, the place has 40 people waiting around in very uncomfortable areas every OG you go to.
It isn't just the length of the wait, the staff makes no effort to seat the handicapped earlier, and leaves pregnant women, folks on crutches, and the very elderly to stand for an hour (or fall, I've seen it happen 3 times!) without offering some type of seating.
Here's hoping some angry patron sues...I just can't be bothered to go back again.

The Bag is a great place to meet up with friends, have a drink or two and hang out for a bit. The food is good, but not stellar, and the prices are very reasonable. The wait staff are funny...we go to the one on Hard Road...and they alternate between really good service and "I'm having a bad night, here's your food, flag me down if you need anything" which is honest at least...but not something you want to say to some of my neighbors after a few drinks if you want a hassle-free night, LOL!
The appetizers are good, the fish and chips is perfect, and the sandwiches are quite large. Ask for the little potato pancakes instead of fries, we love 'em.
The dessert selection is non-existent...I'm not a huge fan of bread pudding or deep fried snicker's bars, so I'll go home to my own homemade cookies after a night at the Bag.
All in all, it is a nice joint to meet friends and to linger over a beer or an iced tea with a staff that is relaxed enough to not hustle you out. The food is good, the management is excellent...they've dealt with our issues in a very satisfying way, and the clientèle goes there again and again.

The Microtel hotel chains may be what you are looking for in simple, clean rooms.
We've used them for nights where we are just pausing in the middle of a trip to sleep. They are simply equipped...no special amenities...usually not even a pool...but they are very clean, the customer service is good, and they are very inexpensive without being scary!
We've stayed at enough of them to know that the chain is similar no matter where you are, and they are consistently clean and comfortable. The rooms are small, so if you have more than 1 child, you may want to book 2 adjoining rooms instead of trying to fit everyone in 1 room.
Happy traveling!

The Winemaker's shop is a great place to purchase winemaking or beer brewing supplies, and they've got kits and ingredients to make root beer and ginger beer if you'd like to try making a carbonated dry beverage. They carry a nice selection of hops and malted/unmalted barley, yeasts, and they give really good advice. For winemakers they carry a nice selection of yeasts, and you can choose between growing your own grapes, or using their juice (may be concentrate, I don't remember).
For the beginner they have everything you need from carboys to bottles...and lots of great books and advice. The owner is often there, and she is very helpful and has years of experience. This is her passion and it shows. I've never found a better place for knowledge or selection in Ohio.

My husband wanted a new doodad for a broken guitar he was repairing. On a whim, I brought it here and asked them for the doodad to fix this bit. In exactly those words. They not only got me the part, but gave me some info on common pitfalls of repairing that bit. I brought it home, and my hubby was amazed I managed to surprise him with the right stuff, and sound like I made sense when I passed on the doodad warning.
I still don't even know what I bought, just that I'll never go anywhere else...they didn't laugh much and got me exactly what I needed for less than my husband had guessed it would cost. I was thrilled. Oh, and their guitars are so gorgeous, even I wanted to buy one. Just to hang on the wall and look at....:)

I can't explain it. The service is just unpleasant here.
The parking is sometimes overcrowded, and you have to be careful entering State or Schrock, to avoid accidents, they are both REALLY busy.

This is really good Japanese food, great service, and the staff speak very good English. The atmosphere is nice, and we always see someone we know there. Their sushi/sashimi is very fresh, and their noodle dishes are very good.
The location is odd, it is down the alley from the yarn shop and the Asian/Indian grocery store. Parking is good. You do need a reservation, as this place is always packed...but that is only because it is such great food.
