Western New York Dental Group: William Crossetta, DDS

I have been going to WNY Dental Group on Delaware for about 4 years now. My entire family goes there. We had a very nice experience with cleanings however they really need to work on their customer service. I myself missed a few appointments in the past due to some medical issues. I needed to cancel two appointments last minute. Each of my appointments were in the morning at 7:30 and I called each time at around 7 am to let them know that I would not be able to make it. Each time I got a voicemail and I left a message. When I recently called to reschedule they had told me that I am no longer a patient. I asked why and they said because I was a no show no call for my last two appointments. They said they sent me a letter which I did not receive only a bill which I am happy to pay since I had to cancel last minute. I explained to the women that I did call and that I have had some personal issues going on and if they could please be understanding and allow me another chance to be a patient as my whole family goes there. The women said that she would speak with the office manager and ask if I can reinstate my account. She came back and said that the office manager said no and that there is nothing I can do. I asked to speak with her so that I can explain myself and she said no and that there was nothing I can do. The receptionist was very rude and short with me. I had just made an appointment for my daughter so I canceled it and told them that I guess we will be going with someone else. She didn't seemed bothered which is not surprising. I really liked the dental hygienist there but there customer service is terrible. DO not miss an appointment. Also I read other comments that if you are late then they will not take you and you will get charged. They are a big company with a lot of patients and have to jam pack appointments in all day so they get cranky if you miss or are late. I am going to find a smaller entity where I am treated like a person rather than a number. more

I cannot begin to tell you the awful experiences I've had here. First of all, the office staff is the rudest I have ever encountered at a medical practice. They treat you and talk to you like a misbehaving child even if you have a simple question. To make matters worse, on two occasions I have been charged for an additional procedure that I was unaware I was receiving they went ahead and did it, then charged me. When I called about the mysterious charge, they blew me off and said someone would call me back, which they never did until they wanted their money. So frustrating because the dental staff is actually very kind and have done great work. But the headaches of the other personnel ruin the practice. more

I can not say enough about the new Blasdell office staff. They are extremely professional, understanding and if you have questions they get them answered with an explanation from the professional. It is a comfortable environment. The hygenists are friendly and pleasant. They do not talk down to you or belittle you. This office was recommended to me through people I know and I'm glad I listened!!! more

Plenty of other good WNY dental offices with pleasant and professional staff. Stay away! There is a reason why the new patient sign is always out front!! more

rate it --2 stars, meaning they are terrible. only use dentists that can't make it in private practice. screwed up my daughters tooth after an unnecessary root canal. went in for a cleaning, came out with no front tooth. bartos cracked the tooth, dr. hamad did botched root canal...they also ruined my front teeth after bad crowns installed. wouldn't recommend them to work on my dead grandfather's false teeth....they are like teeth -r- us type dentists. should work at walmart more

Good: Got me in on an emergency quickly in the Depew Office on Transit Rd.. Bad: Dentist that performed the extraction was a jerk!!! Believe his name is Bartos? Glad he knows how I feel for me??? I'm not a whiner, but, to have to tolerate serious pain that is uneccessary, is not what is expected by anyone.. Improvements: Was a patient here under the previous owners and saw it change hands at least twice. Now, under WNY Dental Group, it is terrible. Constant staff turnovers and lack of proffessional service which was once here.. Other: Dentist extracted a broken and infected tooth. After novacaine wore off the pain was considerable. Under no circumstances would he issue a script for any type of pain medication even after a second phone call??? This is unacceptable and very unprofessional. This was my last visit there.. more

Good: Good facility. Bad: The front desk service. Improvements: The front desk staffer ( on 3/10/11 PM shift, check-in area) was very rude and need basic courtesy training. Other: I went to see Dr. Carney on 3/10/11 but was told she was absent for the day due to a surgery a couple of days ago. And soon I found out by questioning that the app't was booked with the knowledge of that she was going to miss it. Also, the staffer at the check-in area was very rude, ignoring all basic courtesy & telling me anybody being available could do the work on me alternatively. When I told her I prefer to see Dr. Carney so I'd call back to reschedule it, she told me " don't bother, just go away ". more

Dr. Carney at WNY Dental Group is one of the best dentists I have encountered. Her and the staff are friendly and answer all your question. 5 Star Dentist in 5 Star Building. more

This is an excellent dentist for the Williamsville area. It is located in an updated and modern facility and they have very friendly and competent staff and very skilled dentists. Whether you are in time for your preventative cleaning or in need of major operation like tooth canal, they will provide a great care. more
