Best Place Ever! 6/2/2009

My husband and I have been going here for years. I love it everytime! Plus to the person who said "it's called taking advantage of a desperate audience (boise)" in your review...apparently you don't know what you're talking about b/c we moved here from South Florida, where we dined at The Melting Pot frequently....it's a franchise that is "locally" owned. And yes, they are just as wonderful in So Flo. as they are here and just as busy...so maybe you should learn how to get some class, if you didn't like it. To all the others out there, it is wonderful food! As with most finer dining establishments it is about the "experience". It can be pricey but I can tell you that it is well worth the price. The food, service and atmosphere is wonderful. Also, for those special occasions you can even pay a little more and have a picture taken of you from them. My husband and I have done that everytime we've gone and it is such great memories when we look through the pictures over the years! Go and enjoy! more

Fondue, Family, Friends . . . Fabulous 1/4/2007

The Melting Pot is a wonderful place to take your time and really enjoy your meal and those with whom you're sharing it. I think my family has tried every fondue offered by the Melting Pot, and we've never been disappointed. The cheese fondues are delicious and velvety smooth. Like your Fiesta Fondue spicy? Ask for more jalapenos. Don't like garlic in your Traditional Fondue? Ask your server to leave it out. The servers really take care of you at the Melting Pot. The meat and seafood fondues are served with at least six different dipping sauces ranging from mild, creamy Green Goddess to a bold Cocktail Sauce that will open your airways! The dessert fondues are downright decadent. We like the ones with liqueur that are served flaming. In my opinion, the Melting Pot offers one of the most enjoyable dining experiences around. It's a tad pricey, but it's worth it. more

Underwhelmed 4/18/2006

Way too much work for average food. The first course, cheese, veggies and bread could be improved by using less common veggies (not Costco broccoli, cauliflower mix), and the bread was bland. The meat and seafood selection is ok, but the oils and sauces were bland as well. The atmosphere is nice, but the menu is confusing and the drinks were overpriced. It's called taking advantage of a desperate audience (Boise)... more

More than a meal.... 4/2/2006

it's an experience! We recently visited The Melting Pot for our anniversary and we had the time of our lives. The food was fabulous and we definately got our fill! The cheese fondue was the best I've ever had and the deserets were amazing! The staff was super courteous and everythin about our experience was top notch! I just wish that we could afford to eat there more often but it's perfect for a special occasion! more
