Coming from Austin and San Antonio, it's difficult for Galveston Mexican restaurants to measure up, but The Original gives it the old college try. The menu is pretty standard, and overpriced for the portions that are presented. However, it's relative proximity to UTMB and the cruise chips makes it a good lunch choice. If you don't want to leave the island for TexMex, you could certainly do worse than here. Bottom Line: Decent TexMex at an inflated price. Nice atmosphere for singles, family and couples. more
