If you want to keep having a good day, avoid this place at all costs. They will argue with you and laugh in your face, seriously. I found a hair in my sushi, which is i'm sure a definite appetite killer for most people. It's an embarrassing little situation for any restaurant, so I tried to quietly tell them. The server was completely rude. My husband was there to back me up on that and agreed it was 110% hair. The waitress even took it upon herself to pick at it with my husbands chopstick and put it back in front of me and when I said I didn't want it she kept laughing at us, not laughing the embarassing situation off, but At us. They are a disgrace. more

Consistent and reliable 11/19/2008

Let me first say the owner is an evil Gestapo lady who, after 10 years of loyalty, still never even says Hello. The waitstaff is very disciplined and rarely makes mistakes. I've been there over 50 times and I only once returned food (the raviolis were served in watery stuff YUK). My husband and I have been going to Taipei Tokyo for over a year now, and we love it. I have never had bad fish their or bad service. My only complaint was one time I ordered a drink and it was so strong that I could barely drink half of it. I love their food and sushi! Pros: Thumbs up! Cons: None! more

bad fish 12/13/2007

I had sushi at taipei tokyo and got sick. I didnt want someone else to get sick from their food so i called the restaurant manager to inform her about what had happened to me. the manager denied it had anything to do with their food and said i must got sick eating some where else then hung up on me. just so everyone knows they were shut down for a week in 06 because they fell below the sanitary standards. there are other good clean sushi restaurants in town. besides taipei tokyo? how can it be good? its not exactly chinese or japanese! Pros: nothing Cons: not so fresh food more

Horrendous Service 6/14/2007

Excellent place to visit when you are really really hungry but all you want to do is sit in a restaurant and watch the waiters mess up orders and just walk by neglecting you and NOT EVEN CARE when you get up to leave after a frustrating wait of over 43 minutes. more
